Standard ISO

Attorneys at Law firm Miro Senica and attorneys successfully passed the certification audit conducted by the Slovenian Institute of Quality and Metrology on September 17, 2008 and were awarded the certificate of quality for management system which meets the requirements of the standard ISO 9001:2000.

Attorneys at Law firm Miro Senica and attorneys is the first law firm in Slovenia to receive the said certificate. This achievement reflects our focus on the clients’ needs and their satisfaction as well as the effort to raise the quality of attorney services in Slovenia.

Standard ISO 9001:2000

The standard ISO 9001:2000 was issued by the international organization ISO (International Standardization Organization) in 2000. In November 2008, the standard ISO 9001 has seen already its fourth edition (the first one was issued in 1987) and was renamed as ISO 9001:2008. Since the new standard is to entirely replace the standard ISO 9001:2000 by November 14, 2010, the holders of the certificate ISO 9001:2000 have to comply with the new standard no later than by this date. Until then both standards are valid.

According to the principles of ISO 9001:2000, in order to achieve a successful management and operation of an organization the organization should be guided and managed in a systematic and transparent manner. The standard ISO 9001:2000 is built on the quality management principles: customers focus, leadership, involvement of people, process approach, system approach to management, continual improvement, factual approach to decision making, and a mutually beneficial supplier relationship. The standard is used in both production and service industries.

The standard specifies requirements for quality management system (Quality Management System), management activities (Management Responsibility), resources management (Resources Management), performing the core business activities (Product Realization) and control (Measurement, analysis and improvement).

The surveillance of the quality system and compliance with the provisions of the standard are ensured through internal audits, which are performed by our staff with the status of internal auditors, and through external audits performed by the Slovenian Institute of Quality and Metrology.
