We are pleased to announce that the International Council of Arbitration for Sport (https://www.tas-cas.org/en/icas/code-icas-statutes.html) has appointed Ms Katarina Kresal, a Managing Partner of our Law Firm, as arbitrator of the Court of Arbitration for Sports (https://www.tas-cas.org/en/index.html), which is considered the highest sports tribunal in the world. CAS is an independent permanent arbitration with exclusive jurisdiction to resolve sports disputes granted by the International Olympic Committee and various international sports federations. CAS arbitrators are subject to high standards of impartiality and independence, therefore, the appointment of Katarina Kresal as a CAS arbiter is a great recognition of her professional work. Katarina Kresal is also the President of the European Center for Dispute Resolution, within which the specialized Slovenian Permanent Sport Arbitration operates (http://www.ecdr.si/index.php?id=98).
