PROGRES Conference 2025 is successfully behind us!

We participated as co-organizers, program directors, and panelists, actively shaping one of the key events in Slovenia in the field of real estate and investments.

Opening and Keynote Speech

The conference was opened by architect Boštjan Vuga (SADAR+VUGA), who emphasized the importance of bold thinking, creating new standards, and the influence of the profession on shaping society as a whole.

Overview of Panels and Interviews

1st Panel: Changes in Spatial Planning and Building Permits – Challenges and Solutions
The discussion addressed unstable legislation, the need for greater predictability, and possible solutions such as urban planning negotiations. The panel was moderated by Maša Kramar. Matija Urankar participated as a panelist.

2nd Panel: Office Spaces of the Future – New Development Trends and Tenant Expectations
Speakers discussed how existing buildings can remain competitive and highlighted key trends shaping the market over the next decade – from location and flexibility to technology and comfort.

3rd Panel: Transformation of Older Buildings – Adapting to Trends and Tenant Needs
The discussion emphasized the importance of energy renovation, legal solutions for co-owned buildings, financing opportunities, and construction challenges. The panel was moderated by Maša Kramar.

4th Panel: Opening New Doors – Alternative Sources of Financing for Real Estate Developers
Speakers demonstrated how developers can complement traditional bank loans with alternative sources, such as capital markets and institutional investors.

In addition to the panels, the conference was enriched by several 1:1 interviews presenting best practice cases:

  • SALVIS, s.r.o. – BREEAM and LEED certifications as sustainability standards
  • Philip Morris – Office transformation for the future (Smart Work concept)
