Christmas Gala in London

01. 12. 2022

Law Firm Senica was once again the main sponsor of the fourth traditional Christmas Gala event in London this year, organised by the British-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce.

This event is essential for strengthening the economic and diplomatic relations between the two countries and was attended by more than 180 guests, including the Minister for Slovenians Abroad, Matej Arčon, the Slovenian Ambassador in London, Simona Leskovar, the British Ambassador to Slovenia, Tiffany Safler, Member of the House of Lords, Lord Wallace of Saltaire, and His Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for Europe, Chris Barton.

Katarina Kresal, the Managing Partner in our law firm and member of the Global Management Committee of Andersen Global, emphasized the following in her keynote speech:

"In just a few years, the world has changed significantly due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the war in Ukraine, and other crisis events, due to the process of globalization, which brings every major event, crisis or challenge to our doorstep, thereby affecting rapidly the changing market conditions and the way of doing business as we were used to. This means that companies must follow global trends and adapt accordingly and quickly if they want to remain competitive. For example, Law Firm Senica adapted by starting to operate globally as a full Member Firm of Andersen Global, and expanded its services through its subsidiary firm Andersen Advisory, to include tax, business advisory and accounting."

Our colleagues, Miro Senica, Katarina Kresal, Uroš Čop, Maruša Senica, Janja Ovsenik, Katarina Mervič, Maja Šubic, and Lidija Virant, attended the event, and after the official programme networked with the other participants of the event from the United Kingdom and Slovenia in a relaxed and festive atmosphere, making new acquaintances and business ties over pleasant jazz music, excellent cuisine and Slovenian wines contributed for the occasion by the winemakers of the year, Puklavec Family Wines.

Our special thanks go to the British-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and its Director Barbara Uranjek for organising this special event.
