Andrej is a highly experienced financial expert with a strong background in corporate finance, restructuring, and strategic financial management, gained through extensive work in the CEE region.

During his career, he has served as a member of boards of directors, supervisory boards, and management boards, where he was responsible for financial leadership, financial and operational restructuring, and M&A-related activities. He has led finance teams in demanding environments, focusing on financial discipline, productivity improvement, cost optimization, and liquidity management, particularly in short-term crisis and transformation situations.

Andrej has extensive hands-on experience in auditing, budgeting, forecasting, multi-level profitability analysis, and investment evaluation. He is well recognized for his ability to cooperate effectively with key corporate stakeholders, including banks, boards of directors, senior executives, and broader management teams, ensuring alignment between financial strategy and business objectives.

He also participated in bank recovery and regulatory projects, including ECB-directed Asset Quality Reviews (AQRs) and stress test analyses of regional banks, which provided him with in-depth insight into banking regulation, risk management, and financial system stability.

In addition to his corporate roles, Andrej has advised on numerous complex regional and international finance-related projects. He holds a BSc from the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics, was a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), a non-practicing Certified Auditor of the Slovenian Institute for Auditors, and an active member of the CFA Institute.
